This two-part renovation at West Penn Hospital includes an 8,000-square-foot melanoma and dermatological skin care clinic alongside a state-of-the-art cancer research laboratory. The clinic features 14 exam rooms, procedure and consult spaces, and the region’s first VECTRA WB360 Whole Body Imaging System, enhancing diagnostic precision and patient experience through advanced full-body 3D imaging technology. Complementing the clinical suite, the research lab integrates a negative pressure ISO 7/BSL-3 virus production laboratory and a positive pressure ISO 7 cleanroom for gene and cell therapy, with carefully controlled entry sequences to prevent cross-contamination.
