Children’s Mercy Research Institute

A space encouraging collaboration between all medical disciplines to transform pediatric care.

Installation Details

Children’s Mercy Research Institute (CMRI) is a nearly 410,000-square-foot, nine-story space designed specifically for researchers to innovate ways to diagnose, treat, and prevent complex pediatric diseases. The building supports a collaborative workspace approach to research, a model that intentionally fosters partnerships among healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, and families to transform the potential of all children.

Cramer’s Helix is the perfect lab partner for CMRI’s transparent labs and offices, encouraging all medical disciplines to sit together. Helix moves with the lab space in mind, flexing freely in shared workspaces through environmental and user transitions. The Frameless Back™ adapts organically to users, providing a unique fit for each individual sitter.
