Projects: Higher Education

Texas Tech University

Expanding the university’s research and lab efforts.

Installation Details

The Texas Tech Experimental Science Building II is a 117,000-square-foot facility that expands the university’s research capabilities with modern chemical and life-science labs including wet labs, instrumentation labs and synthetic labs. The building also expanded existing interdisciplinary collaboration space as well as research assistant offices and informal learning spaces.

Cramer placed 200 Fusion r+ high height chairs in these research labs for use by students and faculty alike. Fusion chairs are remarkably durable, reliable and comfortable – making them a favorite for all-day sitters. The proprietary r+ covering is resistant to tears and punctures and the 3.5” molded foam cushion provides consistent support throughout the day.

Why Fusion for shared lab spaces:

  • Lab-grade materials support multiple users and long shifts.
  • 3.5” molded foam seat and back cushions support active, forward sitters all the work long day (and night)
  • r+ technology give forward sitters a non-slip grip for safety and chemical resistance.
